Hey guys! I did something pretty fun today, if I do say so myself!
Here we go!
Make Up For Ever #92
Jesse's Girl Pink
Bare Minerals Bikini
L'oreal Carbon Black Mascara
Ok, the eyelashes need a touch of explaining. These are Ardell Diva lashes that I cut the outer corners off because they are too long for my eyes, so I used the excess lashes as corner lashes!
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural- Light
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish- Petticoat
I'd like to start including my reader's looks for this series of posts! So email me some pictures of a look that you've done that you're really fond/proud of.
Rules being- The photos must be of your own work, and preferrably of yourself.
Semi decent photos with accurate color representation.
Who will be the first one to be featured?!
If you do email me please send with it a list of products you've used and a little blurb about yourself to be featured with the photos.
A couple weeks back I went to Bare Minerals and purchased two new eye colors. I'm fully addicted to their products, especially the eye shadows, so I had to have more. Each of these retails for 13$ each. Which isn't bad considering the cost of some company's loose eye shadows. *cough*MAC*cough*
At any rate the two colors I purchsed are Angel, and Purrfect.
Angel is a matte mid-toned pinky-purple.
The application isn't as smooth as I'd like, but I'll cope just because it's such a fantastic shade. It goes on a bit chalky, but not so much so that it just flakes off. I'm thinking that a sticky white colored base for this shadow would make the ease of application increase ten fold.
Purrfect is a lovely tarnished gold color, a tiny bit of a green hue. Very glittery, and pigmented. Ease of use on this is very high, smooth application, and very blendable.
I absolutely love Purrfect, Angel is good too. But out of both, Purrfect gets my vote.
As always I adore Bare Minerals. They have some amazing products, check 'em out!
Mummy May I? is part of China Glaze's Halloween 2010 collection. And may I just say, I'm stoked about this color. Don't get me wrong, Zombie Zest and Ick-a-bod-y are great too, but purple is my all time favorite color.
These swatches are of two coats of the featured polish and two coats of Out the Door top coat.
The purple glitter in this polish is slightly warmer in tone in person.
This polish looks crazy murky in the bottle, so I was slightly worried that it would be the same on my nails. To my surprise the first coat was very plummy purple. The second coat turned it into the perfect blackened plum color shot through with fantastic purple glitter. Pure Love.
This is a better picture of what it looks like in the bottle
I'll tell you what I didn't love so much...
This polish is odd. It's not really gooey, but it's thick. And if you don't get enough on the brush, application can become streaky. And to top it off, I continually felt that I had plenty on my brush when I really didn't. This left me with clumping around my cuticles.
That's ok, I still love you, Mummy May I? ;)
Overall, I love this color. It's subtle but gorgeous, and I want more like it!!
This month at Sally Beauty, China Glaze is having a promotion for cancer awareness. "Conquer Cancer in Colour, with the purchase of any of these symbolic shades, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to organizations that bring hope to those affected by this disease."

Normally I hate Orly. It makes my nails break, stain, crack, and peel. But when the Cosmic FX collection came out, I got really stoked. These polishes are infused with mineral, and glass particles to give them their unique shimmery, glittery, and duo-chromatic effect. I only purchased one, as they are mighty expensive (At Sally Beauty they retail for $8.99 a bottle!).
This is INCREDIBLY difficult to photograph. So I suggest checking them out in person if you're interested!
Space Cadet is a pinky purple polish with gold and blue-ish teal duo-chrome. Spilled oil comes to mind. It was love at first sight.
I absolutely hated how small the brush was for this polish, so I had a hard time making the coats even, especially on my larger fingernails. This is partly why I did three coats of it, to ensure even application.
Anywho, these pictures are of three coats of nail polish on top of one coat of Nail Magic's Botanical Nail Strengthener, and two coats of Out the Door Top Coat. Whew, that was a lot of work.
You can better see the duo-chrome here
I wore this for a few days, and didn't experience chipping (Only when I was spraying some cleaner and my finger slipped), Just slight tip-wear.
Overall I love the way this polish looks on. I may purchase a couple more shades!
